Top Three Unusual Dog Treat
Soft? Hard? Chicken? Peanut butter? Dog treats come in a variety. What about feeding our dogs crickets? Or giving our dogs an ostrich bone? Here's my list of interesting, weird, unusual dog treats:
Chippin
About Chippin
A women-owned business Chippin's mission is to give our dogs high-quality dog food while reducing carbon pawprint. Chippin's treats are made from all-natural ingredients and have proteins like crickets. I buy the antioxidant Chippin treats that consisted of an apple, cricket, and flaxseed. It took a bit more sniffs from Rachel and Indy to finally take the treat, but they love it. The Chippin's treat has more of a biscuit-like texture. It's easy to break, but it can get messy. I recommend giving Chippin as a whole treat.
Roam Pets
About Roam Pets
Roam Pets is a free-range novel protein chew with no GMOs, artificial ingredients, and preservatives. Roam's products consist of bones, jerky, and freeze-dried treats. Roam is currently sourcing from South Africa, supporting local farmers. Their flavors consist of ostrich, crocodile, and venison. Initially, I found Roam's Ossy Slices (freeze-dried ostrich) at TJ Maxx; I use it as a high-value treat when I train Indy. I've also bought the Forever Bone, it's long-lasting, and both Rachel and Indy love to chew on it.
PLATO Pet Treats
About Plato Pet Treats
PLATO Pet Treats is a California company that stands behind quality products. PLATO Pet Treats consist of thinkers ( meat sticks), real strips ( bit size meat bars), energy bars, toy stuffers, single ingredient fish, small bits, and kibble toppers. My personal favorite is the Hunder's Crunch Jerky Fingers, made out of cod skin. It's great in omega 3 & 6 fatty acids and supports skin and coat health,
